Having a home birth was the most empowering experience I have ever had to date. I had so much support and confidence in my ability to birth my baby. There was never a time during the entire labor and birth that I was made to feel as though I couldn’t do it. Everyone told me that I could and it was that strength and support that helped me stay focused. My care was very individualized and respectful of my wishes. At my prenatal visits, the power of choice was always given back to me along with all the information I needed to make an informed choice. I especially loved that I could simply go to my own bed and rest after giving birth. There is nothing like being in your own space after having a baby. I plan on having all of my babies at home as I did with my first. Thank you Dr. Sarah!
